ARCH ROLL

NOTE: If you are thinking of sorting your own arches out dont take the grinder to them and cut the lip completely off.

So many people attack there arches with a grinder but dont realise they are cutting the spot welds off the arch lip which weakens the arch and the inner arch ends up seperating from the outer arch causing more problems for you later.

WideWheels Arch Roll

Your standard arches have a lip folded back in to the arch, whether its single skin at the front or double skin at the back, its no match for the Professional roller. We can roll the lip back up tight to the bodywork to give you up to an extra 10 -15mm for your WideWheels. For most people this imaybe all they need to avoid the arch lip catching on the tyre shoulder. From the outside you'd never know, the bodywork and lines remain unchanged.

ARCH PULL

WideWheels Arch Pull

Once the lip is rolled we can roll that little bit harder, and pull the arch out some more. Its very subtle, but gives you that little more room, the ines of the arch remains essentially unchanged. Not suitable for cars with plastic factory arch extensions or fibre glass body kit.

ARCH TERMS & CONDITIONS

WideWheels advice - to get the best out of our service

  • Make sure the Wheels are made up with the tyres fitted, and are ready to be put on the car -having to guess how much clearance you will need under the arch isimpossible.
  • Clean the arch lips out, you don't want any mud to get trapped in there. Any trapped muck/damp can result in rusting/rotting arches later.
  • We recommend you set your ride height and have your suspension alignment done before the rolling, its makes a big difference to where the wheels sit in the arches. If its not done it may result in the arch roll be in accurate.
  • You need to be present to discuss exactly what you want and if there are any problems that may occur.

The dangers - warning. All work is at YOUR RISK

  • Please be aware any work is at your risk. We can advise on any likely problems on inspecting the car but in the end its down to you, its your call. If the bodywork on your car is original and you are looking for a lip roll this carries the smallest risk. But the paint is still likely to crack and possible flake off on the edge.
  • Possible problems - Badly applied paint can Flake off, stress cracks can appear in the paint on the rolled edge, and can cause the paint to chip off on the edge, sometimes its unavoidable, however they can be covered with some touch up paint/lacquer. Small dents or creases above the arch are weak points and could and become larger etc whn rolled. Flaring in these cases is not recommended but can be done at your risk. Rusty arches can and will definitely fall apart. Accident damage/filler are a problem and will almost certainly require subsequent bodywork. which we can do but at extra cost.

WideWheels can't………

  • Roll plastic or fibreglass, so if you have a car with wings or a bodykit made of plastic or fibreglass we can't help you.
  • Strip off and refit bodykit, that's down to you. but can be done at our premises.

ARCH FLARE

WideWheels Arch Flare

Giving you the maximum room, we flare the Lip of the arch out, it's the total drift look, the euro look, call it what you want it looks cool. The arch profile total changes.
